Activist Singer Moderates Green Energy Forum

September 16, 2003 [] In Toronto, Ontario, Steven Page, Activist and lead singer of Barenaked Ladies, will moderate the first of three free public forums on sustainable energy in the aftermath of the historic power outage of August, 2003. The event will take place at the Exhibition Place of the Queen Elizabeth Building on September 18. Participants are invited to voice their opinions with renewable energy experts and ask questions on such topics as energy conservation and how to get involved in sustainable energy programs. City-owned Toronto Hydro and Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA) are sponsoring the forums. Paul Gipe (International wind energy expert and author), David MacLeod (Director, WindShare/OSEA), and Joyce McLean (Director, Environmental Affairs, Toronto Hydro Energy Services) are also scheduled to speak.
