Vittal Boggaram is the Senior Manager for the Water Program at World Resources Institute (WRI). He is the lead person for developing the urban water program in India. His work includes identifying key water issues in urban spaces and providing scientific solutions to these problems. Vittal is a hydrologist with expertise in remote sensing and environmental engineering. Prior to joining WRI, Vittal was an Associate Consultant in Sydney, Australia. He has over 15 years of working experience in the field of hydrology, geosciences, environmental engineering, environmental contamination assessment, remediation of contaminated sites, remote sensing, environmental impact assessment, environmental policy development and environmental management. Vittal has a multi-disciplinary educational background with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science at Bangalore University, Master of Environmental Management (MEM) at Griffith University, Master of Science and Technology (MSc) in Remote Sensing and Master of Engineer Science (MEngSc) in Groundwater Resources at University of New South Wales, Australia. Vittal is a keen birdwatcher and loves the outdoors. He has completed a Basic Mountaineering Course in the Himalayas and enjoys trekking during his travels.
