My interest in environmental issues was originally sparked by college lectures on climate change and environmental studies textbooks, but my passion comes from spending time in the stunning landscapes of the West. The first time I camped was in Moab, Utah, and despite being ill-prepared for the cold nights, I was struck by the beauty of the red rocks, canyons, and big sky. I have remained committed to living in the West ever since.
At NRDC I focus on clean energy policies related to low-income energy efficiency programs, energy retrofits in the multifamily sector, long-term resource procurement, distributed generation, implementation of California’s Global Warming Solutions Act, and utility business models. I thoroughly enjoy being part of NRDC’s California team, where I have the opportunity to spend my working hours improving on the state’s clean energy policies and my free time taking in the gorgeous surroundings.
