Lily Riahi works as a policy advisor and project manager at REN21, the Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century, based in Paris, France.
From 2008-2010 Lily worked at the Deutscher Bundestag (German Parliament) with the late MP and Founding farther of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) – Dr. Hermann Scheer. During this time she was also a researcher in attendance at all the IRENA meetings since it’s first Prepatory Conference in April 2008.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Lily was featured as a “up and comer” in the Green Power Magaizine for her contribution to the Ontario Green Energy Act Campaign and the Ontario’s FIT program in 2009-2010. Lily has also worked as a policy consultant for ICLEI – Governments for Local Sustainability, Environmental Defense Fund, and the Canadian Renewable Energy Alliance (CanREA).
In addition to her Masters in Energy Policy and Discourses, Lily also holds a BA in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Toronto.
