Anette Bickmeyer

Dr. Anette Bickmeyer is head of sustainability management at Düsseldorf- based E.ON, one of the world’s largest investor-owned energy service providers. From 2008 to 2010 she was the E.ON CEO’s special assistant for community affairs. From 2001 to 2008 she developed and administered the Reinhard Mohn Fellowship at Gütersloh-based Bertelsmann, where she managed projects in areas of HR strategy, corporate culture, and corporate responsibility. In 2000 she organized and managed programs for heads of state and high-ranking government officials at the Hannover World Fair EXPO2000. Anette studied English, American Studies and History at Universität Hannover and Humanities at McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. She earned a doctorate from the Universität Hannover in 2000. From 1996 till 1999 she was a graduate fellow of Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Prior to that she earned a number of research fellowships as well as a DAAD study-abroad fellowship for one year at McMaster University, Canada.
