Green tag provider TerraPass is now offering renewable energy credits to homeowners concerned about their carbon emissions. Because residential buildings produce over 20% of the nation's greenhouse gasses, more and more consumers are interested in offsetting their emissions. Homeowners can purchase credits worth the amount of energy they consume per year. For example, a home that consumes 10,000 lbs. of CO2 per year would pay $49.90 for renewable energy credits. TerraPass would then fund renewable energy projects with that money.
