Another important aspect, however, is the cost of installation and maintenance, and the efficiency of the overall PV installation. A sharpened focus on the so-called "balance-of-systems", which includes wiring, switches, support racks, inverters and even the land, could result in significant cost savings.
March 19, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] Nevada’s Optimal Ventures Incorporated has begun negotiations with Vancouver-based Greenwind Power Corporation to combine the two companies, saying it sees the merger as “a strong opportunity in the wind energy industry,” Greenwind is involved in both grid-based and off-grid systems and says it expects to announce its first wind project, located in southern Alberta, soon.
