The solar power conversion devices are part of ABB’s Ability digital portfolio.
The solar solutions include:
- Residential Inverter (1.2–6 kW) — The UNO DM Plus inverter has a compact design for power ratings from 1.2 to 6 kW, enabling integration with current and future devices for smart building automation. Plug and Play connectors allow for installation without needing to open the inverter cover, while a built-in user interface enables access to advanced inverter configuration settings, dynamic feed-in control and load manager.
- String Inverter (up to 60 kW) — The three, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) TRIO TM features power ratings up to 60 kW and has been designed for large systems. It has an embedded web user interface through any WLAN device and a Sunspec compliant Modbus protocol.
- Inverter for Commercial and Industrial Applications (120 kW) — The PVS120 string inverter features multi-MPPT solutions and will be available in 2018, with a power and voltage range extension to 1500Vdc. The inverter has access to the Internet of Things via IP based communication, scalable cloud architecture and easy wireless commissioning via tablet/mobile device.
- Utility -scale central inverter with extended power range — The 1500Vdc PVS980 central inverter now has an extended power range up to 2300 kVA. It features a low-maintenance cooling solution and comes with a complete range of industrial data communication options, including remote control monitoring. The inverter has a compact plug-and-play solution, PVS980-MWS megawatt station, which is rated up to 4600kVA.
