Italian engineering firm Ansaldo Energia recently said it has received a notice to proceed on a contract to upgrade a geothermal plant in West Java, Indonesia.
The company signed the contact last year. Ansaldo Energia will refurbish a 30-MW geothermal plant in Kamojang. The company will act as the engineering, procurement and construction manager and will supply the geothermal steam turbine and relative air-cooled generator. The customer is PT PLN company Indonesia Power.
Ansaldo Energia recently opened a branch office in Jakarta, with a ceremony attended by the Italian ambassador in Indonesia Vittorio Sandalli.
