Critical Manufacturing updated its MES offering with cmNavigo 3.0 Solar Edition: adding functionality for manufacturing efficiency and cost reduction in complex automation environments for solar cell production.
(August 31, 2010) — Critical Manufacturing updated its manufacturing execution software (MES) offering with cmNavigo 3.0 Solar Edition. The new release provides additional functionality for manufacturing efficiency and cost reduction in complex automation environments for solar cell production.
Critical Manufacturing will showcase cmNAVIGO 3.0 Solar Edition at 25th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference & Exhibition, in Valencia, Spain, on Booth L2/H3/A22, in September. Read all the EU PVSEC news and exhibitor information here.
“The strategy behind cmNavigo 3.0 Solar Edition is to provide visibility and management tools to increase productivity and reduce costs in production lines; without the complexity and high maintenance requirements of integrating various technologies into a loosely coupled MES-like suite. cmNavigo was built from the ground up on a single IT stack to significantly lower total cost of ownership without sacrificing functionality,” explains Jeff Peabody, Critical Manufacturing’s VP of sales and business development.
cmNavigo 3.0 Solar Edition includes existing KPI capability and new out-of-the-box ERP integration functions. Production managers now have enhanced features for visual real-time line monitoring and enhanced equipment maintenance tracking. Engineers have new visual failure cataloging, and advanced data mining algorithms for fault identification and root cause analysis. All these functions are accessed through a Web-based graphical user interface (GUI).
