MiaSole Signs 600 MW Supply Agreement

Shortly after the CIGS thin-film producer MiaSolé signed an agreement with German developer Juwi Solar for 7.5 MW of panels, the two companies announced a much larger supply deal for 600 MW. The move is a positive one for MiaSolé, which has faced delays in scaling up operations.

The agreement outlines 50 MW of shipments in 2011 and a total of 600 MW to be shipped over the period of the agreement. The framework agreement represents the next step in what has been a long term relationship between the two parties.

The companies signed two other purchase agreements to supply juwi Solar GmbH with MiaSolé’s CIGS photovoltaic modules. The larger agreement is for 7.5 MW of CIGS thin-film modules and will be used in Q3 and Q4 of 2010 for ground mounted and rooftop projects throughout Germany. This follows 1 MW of CIGS modules delivered to juwi in Q2 2010 for projects in Germany and San Antonio, Texas.
