SENTECH will present SenSol Haze at EU PVSEC 2010

SenSol Haze is designed for quality control of TCO films in PV manufacturing of thin film solar cells. It offers uniformity mapping of film thickness and spectrally resolved Haze H(λ) on glass sheets.

(August 3, 2010) — The SenSol Haze is designed for quality control of transparent conductive oxide (TCO) films in PV manufacturing of thin film solar cells. It offers uniformity mapping of film thickness and spectrally resolved Haze H(λ) on glass sheets of all standard glass sizes.

The SenSol Haze comprises the computer-controlled conveyor transport system and the sensor platform for haze and film thickness. The system design allows measurements at every position of the glass sheet, especially at the edges. Glass sheets can be loaded and unloaded manually or by robot. The high measurement speed allows even the integration of the system into a manufacturing line.

Additional sensors for the measurement of sheet resistance, of optical constants and band gap (spectroscopic ellipsometer), of current voltage characteristics and quantum efficiency are available Oerlikon Solar, Trübbach CH, a leading provider of thin film photovoltaics (PV) manufacturing equipment, uses the SenSol Haze to monitor the spectrally resolved Haze and thickness of TCO layers on glass panels.

SENTECH Instruments GmbH develops, manufactures and sells worldwide advanced quality control instrumentation for Thin Film Metrology (reflectometer, ellipsometer, spectroscopic ellipsometer) and Plasma Process Technology (plasma etcher, plasma deposition systems).
