Washington, D.C., United States [HydroWorld.com] Hundreds of hydropower industry professionals are set to gather April 26-28 in Washington, D.C., at the 2010 National Hydropower Association Annual Conference, “Hydro in the New Energy Revolution: Innovate. Generate. Legislate.”
The three-day event, which will be held at the Capital Hilton Hotel, will bring together industry leaders, state and federal regulatory officials and key legislative staff to discuss technology, policy and future development options for the hydropower sector.
The keynote speaker for the NHA Annual Conference is Jo-Ellen Darcy, the assistant secretary of the army (Civil Works), which establishes policy direction and provides supervision of the Department of the Army functions relating to all aspects of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Civil Works program.
A wide range of activities, meetings and sessions are planned for the event, covering many aspects of the hydropower industry. Subjects range from legislative and regulatory issues to new technologies, small hydro, pumped-storage hydro, hydropower’s role in job creation and an array of other topics.
