TUV Rheinland PV Certificates Accepted by Japan Photovoltaic Expansion Center

Japan Photovoltaic Expansion Center (J-PEC), a part of The Japanese Photovoltaic Energy Association, has confirmed that it is now accepting TUV Rheinland Photovoltaic Certificates for panels used in its residential solar generation installation subsidy program.

In order to meet the targets of the Kyoto protocol, the Japanese government is promoting the mass deployment of solar energy in residential homes throughout Japan. The Japanese Photovoltaic Energy Association (JPEA), supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, is offering a subsidy program for residential homes that are installing solar power systems in Japan.

Only certified Solar Panels qualify for the reimbursement program. J-PEC has confirmed that solar panels which carry the TUV Rheinland Photovoltaic certification will qualify for the subsidy program. These approved manufactures are listed on the JPEA website.
