Enel Increases Wind Pipeline in Greece

The Italian energy company Enel has signed an agreement with Damco Energy to participate in a 1400-megawatt (MW) pipeline of wind projects throughout Greece.

As part of the agreement, Enel will acquire a 30% stake in the pipeline, along with rights to progressively raise its stake up to 80%. Enel will also have an option to participate in the development of an additional 180 MW in Bulgaria.

Enel is already the third largest operator of renewable energy projects in Greece, with 91.3 MW operating and a further 36.1 MW under construction.
