CleanTech Biofuels Teams with Green Tech

CleanTech Biofuels, Inc. announced that it has entered into a Joint Research Agreement with Green Tech America, Inc. (GTA) under which GTA will provide research and testing for CleanTech Biofuels on the fermentation stage of CleanTech’s municipal solid waste to ethanol project.

GTA is developing and commercializing an innovative yeast-based cellulosic ethanol technology that was pioneered by Dr. Nancy Ho, Research Molecular Biologist and Group Leader of the Laboratory of Renewable Resources Engineering at Purdue University. The goal of GTA is to establish a company that supports and collaborates with ethanol producers to make the production of cellulosic ethanol.

Based on the Cellulosic Ethanol Yeast Technology developed by Dr. Ho and her colleagues at Purdue University, GTA and CleanTech Biofuels plan to optimize the technical details and establish a blueprint for cellulosic ethanol production.
