Madrid, Spain [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] Iberdrola Renewables has signed an agreement with EOZEN for the supply of 10 wind turbines with a generation capacity of 1.5 megawatts (MW) each. The utility group chose the EOZEN synchronous turbine technology because of its grid voltage fault performance, among other contributing factors.
Iberdrola will install the turbines at wind farms planned for development near the city of Granada. The city is also where the Andalusian based factory owned by EOZEN is located.
In related news, Iberdrola has also purchased a 44.2-MW wind farm in Teruel province from Gamesa. This deal is part of an agreement under which Iberdrola will acquire 700 MW of wind capacity now under development in Spain and Italy.
