Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. Plans 20 MW Wind Farm

Bismarck, North Dakota [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. plans to construct a 20-megawatt (MW) wind farm near Baker, Montana. Bruce Imsdahl, Montana-Dakota president and CEO said the new facility will be called Diamond Willow Wind after the watercourse plant common throughout Montana. According to Imsdahl, Diamond Willow Wind will help Montana-Dakota meet the Montana and North Dakota renewable resource objectives. The state of Montana requires that 5 percent of energy delivered to meters be renewable by the end of 2008, 10 percent by 2010 and 15 percent by 2015.
