SEPA Offers Electric Utility Scholarships for Solar Power 2007

The Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) is offering a limited number of scholarships for electric utility employees to attend Solar Power 2007 in Long Beach, California, September 24-27.

Eligibility is for those municipal, cooperative, investor-owned, and utility association employees who would not otherwise be able to attend the conference due to budgetary and/or travel restrictions. Scholarship recipients will receive complimentary full conference registration and up to $1,000 stipend for coach airfare and three-nights hotel (receipts reimbursed). Only one scholarship is available per utility. Recipients must attend the SEPA Membership luncheon and Utility Networking reception on Tuesday, September 25. Individuals representing utilities that are not currently SEPA members must agree to consider SEPA membership and schedule one conference call between relevant utility staff and SEPA staff within 90 days following the conference to discuss the value of membership. Geographic location, utility-type, and SEPA membership status will be considered to ensure a diversity of recipients. Application forms (use first link below) are due by August 1, 2007.
