Hamburg, Germany [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Hanseatic Energy GmbH signed a letter of intent with SamoaFiber Holdings (SFH), developer of bio-oil production facilities, to initiate the supply of 2,200,000 metric tons per year of renewable energy starting in 2008 to the European Union’s emerging green energy producers. The bio-oil will provide reliable, cost effective and renewable energy to generating units that use both stationary diesels and power boilers to supply electrical energy and central heating plants. SFH is developing plantations in Eastern Peru to grow the SamoaFiber plant and process the biomass into bio-oil using fast-pyrolysis (FP) processing method.
