Affordable Housing in NJ Gains 80 kW Solar Energy

Turnersville, New Jersey [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] SolarWorks NJ (SWNJ) has begun work on a $600,000, 80-kilowatt (kW) solar energy system in Newark on a multi-housing affordable housing building known as Springfield Commons, made possible using funds contributed by the NJ BPU through its Clean Energy Program. SWNJ has been working with RPM Development Group on this affordable housing project, which is the first under the Sunlit Program through the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency. A completion date is set for mid-November.
