Houston, Texas [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Gulf Ethanol Corporation is nearing the close of an export marketing agreement with a leading American ethanol provider. The Agreement covers one significant export contract at this point, and is in final negotiations to expand as an ongoing, exclusive international marketing agreement. Gulf Ethanol is in talks with a number of leading petroleum companies in the EU and Asia, who wish to increase their use of ethanol as a fuel oxygenate. Current operations primarily involve the purchase, marketing, sale, and distribution of ethanol on an international level, but do not entail investment in the production of biofuels.
