SunEdison Delivers Affordable Solar Power to a California University

Baltimore, Maryland [] A solar energy power plant at California State University, Chico, which will become operational this month (October 2006), contains 1,848 solar panels on the roofs of Yolo Hall and Acker Gym. It will deliver predictable pricing for the university for next 20 years, plus excess power generated by the system will be fed directly to the PG&E grid. SunEdison will receives federal Green Tag tax credits for installing the solar power equipment that is responsible for generating the renewable energy.
