Auckland, New Zealand [RenewbaleEnergyAccess.com] New Zealand made a contribution to the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP), joining Australia, Austria, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, the U.S. and the United Kingdom as a donor. New Zealand notes that one of the REEEP’s aims is to deliver social improvements to developing countries by improving access to reliable clean energy services and by making renewable energy more affordable. REEEP International Director, Marianne Osterkorn, stated “the importance of sustainable energy for Small Island States is paramount, as these countries will be the first to feel the direct impacts of climate change.”
