Solana Beach, California [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Open Energy’s SolarSave SP 480 Roofing Membrane product has received the Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL) 1703 listing, the American National Standard for safety for photovoltaic modules and panels.
In addition, the SolarSave membranes were awarded a 790 Class A fire rating, the highest possible rating for fire resistance. The certification clears the way for delivery on $4 million in pending orders. “These two certifications represent a very important development for Open Energy and provide the highest level of validation for the safety and performance of our solar roofing membrane products,” said Don Rogers, Executive Vice President. “We have received significant interest from the commercial and residential architectural and building community for these products.
