Boise, Idaho [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Idaho Power issued a request for proposals (RFP) for 100 megawatts (MW) of electricity to be produced by geothermal generation. It was issued in response to a need for geothermal-powered electric generation identified in the company’s 2004 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). … The company will hold a pre-bid meeting in Boise for all interested parties on June 29 and those who wish to respond to the RFP have until August 11, 2006, to do so. The project is expected to be online by 2008.
