Oxford, Mississippi [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] American Geothermal, subsidiary of Energy Vision International (formerly DeMarco Energy Systems of America), received an order to supply and install additional DeMarco geothermal systems to refurbish luxury apartments overlooking Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, said to be valued at $70,000. The complex, originally constructed in 1987, was fitted with geothermal systems using Lake Travis as the heat source and heat sink. American Geothermal has been awarded the contract to initially replace 80 existing units. The new owners lower their heating and cooling bills by up to 70% versus traditional HVAC systems.
