Sacramento, California [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] The goal behind Clean Energy’s recent distribution agreement with Industrial Solar Technology Corp. (IST) is to install several megawatts of IST systems in the U.S., Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, and 19 countries in the heart of the African sunbelt, plus nonexclusive rights globally, in 2006 and beyond.
IST’s systems are thermal solar concentrating troughs that convert the sun’s energy into useable heat energy for hot water, steam generation and cooling applications at temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (260 Celsius), and have been operating for several years in the U.S., Germany, the Middle East, and Asia at commercial, research, and federal government locations. Clean Energy reviewed several leading PV and thermal solar systems over the course of six years, and selected IST because, in the words of Harold Jahn, President/CEO Clean Energy, “This superior technology allows us to provide our commercial, industrial, and government clients the opportunity to reduce their overall dependency on costly natural gas, by moving towards the use of the sun’s endless abundance of heat energy. We are very proud to be involved with the team at IST and are looking forward to working very closely on projects in the U.S. and globally.”More
