[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] DynaMotive Energy Systems announced that the Canadian Federal Government’s Environmental Choice Program (ECP) has awarded the EcoLogo to the West Lorne BioOil Cogeneration plant, after an external audit confirmed that the 2.5 MW operation met the internationally recognized requirements. The EcoLogo, which certifies that the electricity produced at the plant conforms to the Renewable Low-impact Electricity Guidelines is ECP’s symbol of approval. This formally qualifies the facility as a renewable energy production facility and is step toward validating the DynaMotive’s technology. The company develops energy solutions based on its patented fast pyrolysis system, which unlocks the natural energy found in organic resources discarded by the agricultural and forest industries. Its technology economically converts biomass into a renewable fuel.
