[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Toyota Tsusho has started research jointly with Hokkaido Prefecture and other organizations into commercial production of biodiesel fuels (BDF) that are made from rapeseeds and other plants. Aiming for the commercialization of a new type of eco-friendly and recyclable fuel, Toyota Tsusho and the Hokkaido prefectural government will carry out this project as a national project supported by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). Toyota Tsusho will participate in a BDF initiative sponsored by the prefectural government with local municipalities and other public organizations to research energy technology and design and evaluate BDF model businesses.
