Hydrogen Processor Tests in Antarctica

[] Genesis Fueltech of Spokane, Washington has been contracted to supply two of its 20L methanol-to-hydrogen fuel processors for installation at the US Antarctic Program (USAP) support base in Christchurch, New Zealand. Industrial Research Limited will manage the project, and will install the fuel processors to supply hydrogen to two ReliOn Independence 1000 fuel cells. The US Army Corps of Engineers will monitor system performance over the next year as part of its search for alternatives to the diesel electric generators now used at remote sites like Antarctica. The 20L generates up to 20 standard liters of hydrogen per minute.
