Biomass supply company Green Energy of New York, and biomass supplier and trader Italiana Commissionaria Legnami (ICL) of Italy have agreed to form a merger in the wood fiber industry. Details of the merger were not released, but the Green Energy said in a press release that the companies seek to capture the vertical market from procurement, to transportation, to power generation plants.
August 25, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] If Green Energy and ICL can agree on merger terms, the combined company is expected to have a capacity to deliver well over one million tons of wood fiber fuel annually. The merger would include green certificate contracts that could generate approximately USD$ 150 million in gross revenues annually for the company through guaranteed sales.
