Rural councils will join the wind farm industry to campaign against the Federal Government’s energy policy, which they say will cost them crucial investment in renewable energy. Wannon, former prime minister Malcolm Fraser’s old farming-based seat in the Western District, will be targeted in the pre-election campaign, expected to cost up to $50,000. The campaign will point out the differences between Coalition and Labor policies on energy.
