June 23, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] As part of its corporate commitment to sustainable business practices and focus on improving the community, Austin, Texas-based Green Mountain Energy Company has joined area business leaders in the Clean Air Partners Program. The program, an initiative of the Clean Air Force of Central Texas, is designed to reduce ozone emissions and improve air quality through a number of recommended activities, including transportation choices and energy efficiency. Green Mountain Energy Company has already implemented a number of sustainable business practices to reduce its impact on the Central Texas environment, including a commuter program that rewards employees for finding creative ways to get to work.
