June 8, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] The government of Puerto Princesa City in the Philippines province of Palawan is working together with the California-based Asera Group Inc. to build a US$55 million 6.67 MW solar power plant, according to an article in INQ7money, a Philippines-based business publication based on the Philippine Daily Inquirer. There was no clarification of what type the solar generation would be, nor could the story be independently verified. Palawan is the second largest province in the Philippines and is comprised of 1768 islands.
