German Law Provides Green Energy Boost

April 7, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] The market atmosphere for renewable energy in Germany just improved a notch with passage of new legislation. According to reports from the German Newspapwer, Die Welt, via the Washington Times, the law establishes a renewable portfolio standard calling for 12.5 percent of the country’s energy to come from renewable energy sources by 2012, and 20 percent by 2020.
