March 12, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] It has been ten years since Kyocera Corporation released their first domestic solar power generation system in Japan in December 1993, according to the company. Kyocera’s solar energy division is offering Samurai BBS, a domestic solar power generation system featuring exclusive specifications, for limited time and in limited quantities, to commemorate the tenth anniversary. The offer is available for one month only, from March 11 to April 10, and is limited to the first 100 buildings applicants. The unit featuring exclusive specifications developed for the tenth anniversary is a more advanced model of the Samurai, the residential solar power generation system released last June. The product comes equipped with Econonavit a monitor for solar power generation, which is normally available as an optional device. Since this news was circulated via the Japan Corporate News Network, this offer might only be offered to the Japanese market. The press release did not make a statement either way.
