November 24, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) announced plans to continue supporting solar photovoltaics (PV) and issue a new request for proposals (RFP) for projects involving installation and use of PV technology in commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. The program will fund projects on a rolling basis over the next three years. CCEF will seek projects that demonstrate PV’s potential as a viable distributed-generation resource in Connecticut. The complete RFP will be available in late December. It will be obtainable from CCEF’s Web site. The fund is particularly interested in innovative, replicable PV systems that help build the Solar Photovoltaic industry in the State, constitute a highly visible application, provide high-value or premium-power attributes, relieve electrical load congestion in energy-constrained areas of Connecticut, reduce barriers to installation, promote environmental benefits.
