September 22, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] As of September 10, 2003, Long Island Power Authority’s (LIPA) 1000 kW PV incentive block of US$5 per DC watt has been filled and is now closed. Effective September 10, 2003, LIPA is offering $4.50 per DC watt towards LIPA pre-approved PV applications up to 10 kW for a maximum rebate of $45,000. This rebate level will be applied towards a total incentive block of 1000 kW. LIPA’s Solar Pioneer forms and solar Web site (at the link below) are in the process of being updated to reflect the $4.50 rebate level.
