September 10, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] British Columbia-based Hybrid Fuels has finalized a contractual agreement with Draco Energy Systems, which owns certain proprietary rights and patents in the biomass gasification field. The companies will together on the development, construction and installation of gasification systems for their facilities. These systems are specifically designed to convert animal residue products into useful energy. The procedure eliminates all the environmental hazards associated with manure disposal. Hybrid Fuels has developed a unique farm-scale agricultural process that integrates beef operations with the production of ethanol. The company touted the benefits of Hybrid Fuels’ process as a cost-effective means of producing ethanol and the creation of an ethanol-blended diesel fuel that significantly reduces harmful emissions.
