Energy 2003, the sixth annual national energy management workshop and exposition, will be held at the Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, inside the Walt Disney World Village, August 17 – 20.Lake Buena Vista, California – August 13, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] Co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. General Services Administration, the event will showcase the latest cost-effective energy-saving, renewable energy and water efficiency products and equipment. Attendees include federal, state, local and private sector energy managers, procurement officials, engineers and architects, energy service companies, transportation officials, utilities, and others involved in energy management around the country. Energy 2003 provides details on the latest energy-saving strategies and products, opportunities to network with colleagues to discuss new applications and strategies, and information from the experts on successful case studies and projects. Visitors will learn about the latest technology available. Demonstrations will show company owners and managers how applying renewable energy products, equipment and services can improve the comfort, security, productivity and reliability of facilities and employees. The program begins with an opening reception in the Exhibit Areas on Sunday, August 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and concludes at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, following the Closing Plenary Luncheon. This year’s program follows the format of the previous workshops. It includes optional pre- and post-workshop programs and special sessions, a Monday morning plenary session, product/service exposition through Tuesday and more than 60 presentations in 12 specialized learning tracks through Wednesday. There will also be several networking events and optional technical tours.
