August 1, 2003[SolarAccess.com]Former Governor of Vermont, Howard Dean outlined his vision for the environment. Among other strategies, Dean’s goal will focus on establishing an Environmentally Sound Energy Policy. Dean’s energy policy will focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy. Dean said that to encourage renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power, he supports requiring that 20 percent of the electricity come from renewable energy sources by 2020. Dean also emphasized that he had a 100-year vision for the environment, because he believes true leadership includes protecting our environment for future generations.
