July 18, 2003 [SolarAccess.com]MTI MicroFuel Cells has received an award of US$41,000 from New York State’s “Building Skills in New York State” (BUSINYS) program. The grant, administered by the state Department of Labor, will fund advanced education courses for MTI MicroFuel Cell technicians, engineers and scientists. Employees will receive training in the Six Sigma Green Belt program, a business improvement process designed to achieve the highest possible quality in a process or a product. The program is designed to enhance MTI Micro employees’ skill sets and be applied to the Company’s development of micro fuel cell products as a future power supply for portable electronics. MTI Micro has a targeted market entry date of 2004 for its first product.
