Solar Provisions Pushed Ahead

June 17, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] Energy Bill debate ceased early Friday afternoon last week and will most likely not arise again for several weeks, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). Upon their return, the Senate will have to consider the remainder of California 350 amendments. An official and complete list of these amendments is not yet available, but according to SEIA, progress has been made on a strengthened net metering and interconnection provision from Sen. Cantwell(D – WA) and an amendment from Sen. Feinstein (D-CA) to resolve the Federal taxation of state benefits issue, and a 20 percent RPS standard offered by Jeffords (D-VT).
