April 29, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] A recently released survey reveals that 92 percent of consumers in the Northeast believe that energy efficiency should play a larger role in helping to reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil. Commissioned by the Northeast ENERGY STAR lighting and appliance initiative, the new research tracks the attitudes about energy efficiency, alternative energy and awareness of energy saving products of more than 500 homeowners in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York (Long Island), Rhode Island and Vermont. Research was conducted by Ulrich Research Services, Inc. of Orange Park, Florida.
