Fuel Cell Co. Wins Funding

April 26, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] Superior MicroPowders, LLC of Albuquerque will receive US$709,086 this year from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The research money represents second-year funding of a US$2.0 million Advanced Technology Program grant. Superior MicroPowders is on a three-year quest to develop a catalyst-coated membrane (CCM) that can be used in polymer electrolyte fuel cells powered through a hydrogen-enriched gas stream. The ATP funding will support Superior MicroPowders’ partnership with industry and academia that have been enlisted to assist in CCM development.
