April 16, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] To celebrate Earth Day 2003, Sun & Earth – a manufacturer of natural, environmentally-safe household cleaning products – will use wind power for its production operations, becoming the first PA consumer products company to purchase 100 percent of its electricity from pollution-free, wind-generated electricity. Through a three-year contract, Sun & Earth will purchase NewWind Energy, a product of Pennsylvania-based Community Energy, Inc. (CEI). CEI is a corporation founded by national leaders in wind-energy marketing to expand the market for clean electric supply.
