MSK Corporation has launched its new range of high-efficiency crystalline solar modules on the international market, having completed the IEC 61215 and Safety Class II certification process.Tokyo, Japan – February 19, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] The new range comprises three sizes in mono and polycrystalline silicon, for a total of six modules. The largest in terms of power is the 180 W mono-crystalline model, which has a module efficiency of 14.2 percent and is aimed primarily at grid-tied projects, according to the company. The full range is 80 W, 120 W, 160 W polycrystalline and 90 W, 135 W, 180 W monocrystalline silicon. To maximize power, individual cells are optimally matched and tempered high-transparency glass is used. Extra-thick 50mm anodized aluminum frames are used to ensure greater module strength and long-term reliability. The junction box is filled with silicone for water protection and three diodes are fitted to minimize losses from partial module shading. MSK’s modules are also renowned in Japan for their excellent build quality and visual appearance, a direct result of two decades of manufacturing experience. All modules come with a 25 year power output guarantee for 80 percent of minimum power rating, and a 2-year guarantee. MSK manufactures its modules in its ISO 9001 certified 60MW facility in Saku, Nagano, Japan. With production experience dating back to 1984, the facility boasts the world’s fastest throughput for module production and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. MSK has already established local distributorship arrangements with Jardine Engineering Corporation in Hong Kong and Baxter Engineering in Italy, and is now looking to establish further arrangements.
