May 6, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] Canadian Hydro Developers has entered into a new contract for the sale of certified green power with the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, one of the world’s premier hotels, located in Banff National Park. Under the new agreement, the Chateau will purchase 3,300,000 kilowatt hours per year for five years, or 40 percent of the hotel’s power requirements, of certified low-impact, renewable green power from Canadian Hydro. This represents a 31 percent increase in green power over that purchased in 2001 by the Chateau from the company, as well as a two year extension from the last contract.
