Briefly Noted

2002-02-21 [SolarAccess.com] The U.S. Senate’s finance committee recommended passage of an energy tax bill Wednesday that groups interested in promoting ethanol use say will boost production. The energy tax incentives act provides tax credits of 10 cents per gallon for ethanol manufacturers. The Renewable Fuels Association and the National Biodiesel Board said the bill includes “two commonsense provisions important to increasing U.S. energy security.” The bill will go to the full Senate for consideration this spring.
